Our Model

SEJA invests in the preexisting power of local change-makers, offering life-changing financial resources, education, inspiration and leadership. Expanding the micro-impact spaces that are driving systemic change, collectively addressing critical global challenges.

Our Impact

This year, SEJA will offer more than 4,000 hours of workshops, classes, and educational opportunities for 75 local change-makers.  On average local SEJA change-makers increase impact hours and number of people impacted by more than 40% in the first 12 months of a SEJA collaboration.

Stories speak louder than words

Individually Local, Collectively Global

This year, recipients of SEJA’s local change-makers projects have danced with Anitta (international musician), secured professional football contracts, gained admission to universities through scholarships, and launched eco-friendly small businesses. They steered clear of gangs, sidestepped teen pregnancy, and embraced identities within their local change-makers uncovering their potential as agents of change.
